What's going on guys? Yours Truly has returned! Not going to waste time so let's get to it.
I spend a lot of time thinkg about my legacy. Hold now...Hear me out. I know I'm still relatively young in my career (3 Years Today) and I know that I'm just starting to taste the crisp of success but I can't help but think about my impact on people, things, music & entertainment thus far.
As we re-ran The Vincent Tucker Radio Show presents The Savel Rhines Show - Part 1 across our affiliate stations this week as we prepare for Part III in two weeks, I listened to the beginning were I addressing my critics. Addressing the people that sit and comment and have not ever done a thing nor did any research.
It was once said by people I've never met, that "I'm selfish and in a team setting....I still make it all about me!" They say "I don't give back to the community!". The Question I always pose back to them is this.....Did you guys really read the report on me or did you just skim through it?
Because I don't flaunt my community achievements, don't mean I don't give back. Read my story. It's the story of a guy who came from the bottom and gives back in an attempt to uplift those still in the struggle. No where in the criticism do I hear that I feed the homeless each month. I missed the report about the multiple Back 2 School Drives for School Supplies. I didn't read about my invovlement with the Salvation Army Tree Angel Tree program, buying gifts for other children when I don't even have any myself.
I know it seems like I'm ranting and I apologize. But I don't appreciate people talking down on me and not supply all of the facts.
For those following the movement and continue to hear stuff about me, I invite you to check out my website (http://www.vincenttucker.com/) and/or send me an email on the site. Get both sides of the story before you form an opinion.
Now that I've gotten off my chest, if you're in the DFW area, Check out my radio Co-host Myskenna and I hosting a Hip Hop Breast Cancer Benefit at The Bone (in Dallas, Texas). You can read more details at the official Myspace page of H4 - Hip Hop Helps Heal (http://www.myspace.com/HipHopHelpsHeal).
I appreciate everyone for stopping by. Till Next Time!
